Joyce Hoehn- Elder
Christians have long worshiped God through music. It is part of the Presbyterian tradition and is an integral part of our worship services at Manitowish Waters Community Church. If you are a singer, bell ringer, instrumentalist, organist, pianist, etc., we encourage you to share your musical talents with us.
In addition to our choir and bell choir we enjoy and encourage offerings of special music by our members and guests.
The choir meets for rehearsal one hour prior to the 9:30 AM Sunday service and then sings at the service. Members, visitors and guests are all welcome to "sing His praises" with one voice.
Please join us on Sunday morning for rehearsal and the service to follow.
Praise the lord with timbrels and bells! We don't have many tambourines but we do have the Bells.
Our bell choir is so popular we set aside practice time for all our ringers on a weekly basis on Thursdays at 1:00pm . We perform at Sunday service as the choir- Angelus - to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
Angelus, now two years old, currently plays on two octaves of Melmark bells purchased through the generosity of our parishoners and friends. Directed by Judy Erickson, Angelus is a great place to learn the joy of pealing to the glory of God.
Come join us. Summer visitors are welcome to fill in, since music doesn't take the summer off in our church. That's when we thrive!
