Throughout the school year, Manitowish Waters Community Church sponsors a Wednesday youth group that meets at 3:45 PM.  For kindergarten through seventh grade there are graded classes for lessons, and all come together for snacks, games and music.  Children at North Lakeland Elementary can ride the schoolbus to church.  Those at other schools can arrange carpools with other parents.

Children may also participate in the Sunday worship service at various times

Children's Choir

Our children are engaged with music through our weekly youth group program.  Our Christian education director along with our teachers prepare the children to perform musical selections for our monthly youth service during Sunday worship

Children's Sermons

Every Sunday, during worship our children of ages are invited to the front of the Sanctuary to hear a special children's message tailored just for them.  It ends in prayer and the stomping of the feet.  It is a weekly highlight for our children

Confirmation

Confirmation is the process of helping individuals "make firm" the Christian faith into which they were baptized. In our church confirmation is provided for young people between seventh and ninth grades. The classes meet weekly during the academic year, and involve a combination of various learning and service activities. Young people are required to attend the weekly meetings, participate in worship services, and engage in service projects.  They are also asked to study particular Scriptures, maintain a prayer journal, complete assignments on the beliefs of Orthodox Christianity, and study Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) forms of Christian faith.  At the end of the confirmation process, each "confirmandand” is asked to write and share a statement of his or her Christian faith. That faith is then confirmed in a formal worship service.
