The Manitowish Waters Community Presbyterian Church strives to love, learn, and create a legacy of service with Jesus Christ in our midst.

Our church is a community of Christians from many traditions who find their unity in Christ's command:  "You shall love the Lord your God… and your neighbor as yourself."   Whether you are a resident of our area or a visitor seeking relaxation and recreation, we invite you to join us in the spiritual "re-creation" that only God can provide!  God's story of love in action is shared in every worship service, is taught to the children in Youth Group, and is the basis for our service to each other, the community, and the world.

We are deeply concerned about each other's welfare, helping each other in times of need, and sharing in each other's blessings.  We extend this love to others in the community and world, giving our time, talents, and material gifts to help improve their lives.

Our worship services, which include inspiring sermons, Bible readings and shared prayer, enrich our understanding of God's word. Through the sacraments we experience God's presence in our lives. We are bound together in our faith, reaching out to do God's work in our world with love and care.

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

Manitowish Waters Community Church is a member in good standing of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the Synod of Lakes and Prairies and the Northern Waters Presbytery.

Our Northwoods area has long been recognized as a special and sacred part of God's Creation. The Chippewa Indian people named our lake region "Manitou-wish", "Waters of the Great Spirit." The words of Psalm 23 come to life here: "He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul."
